About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Planner to support the successful delivery of a major construction programme. You will be responsible for developing, monitoring, and updating project schedules, ensuring accurate reporting, and supporting the site and commercial teams with programme‑driven decision‑making.
This role suits someone with strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and a proactive approach to planning, coordination, and risk management. With expereince worrking on tier 1 large scale construction developments.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop detailed project programmes using Asta Powerproject / Primavera P6.
- Monitor progress, update schedules, and report on key milestones.
- Work closely with project managers, site teams, and commercial leads to ensure programme alignment.
- Identify delays, risks, and opportunities, proposing mitigation strategies.
- Produce short‑term lookahead programmes and progress reports.
- Support tender programmes and pre‑construction planning.
- Attend progress meetings and present programme updates to stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with project timelines, sequencing, and critical path requirements.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Project Planner within construction.
- Strong knowledge of Asta Powerproject or Primavera P6.
- Understanding of construction sequencing across, commercial and civils projects.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and reporting skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with site, commercial, and design teams.
- Strong attention to detail and proactive problem‑solving approach.
- Commutable to the Swindon area
